Hi thought id try here i brought a Renault megane with the dreaded key card not recognised so phoned renault the bloke said yes bring in log book and i.d and pay the fee and we will give it to you so drove there gave them log book and i.d for them to come back and say no we cant do it car needs to be plugged in!!! So they can get the code ay additional fee is there anyone here that can get the key code from the vin???

NOPE its not stored in the VIN
You need someone to come out and get into the UCH , OR ECU,

If you have a search on here, you will find this is usually caused by this
Either its packed in, or one of the soldered joints has failed

My friend brought a machine thst can program new keys but it cant retrieve the immo pin which he said he needs to program new key on the renault megane he said he didn't have any trouble programming his new keys into his st focus or his Nissan

Renaults dont work like that.
You will get a 20 odd number from the UCH, then you have to use certain parts of this number , then send it through a calculator, and this will give you the number
why not repair your card, and get your mate to clone it so you will end up with two cards
