2016 Clio service light won’t reset

Service reset depends on the presence of a known distance and time parameter to be present in the ECU from which it can be controlled - if your parameters are currently set at zero (from your description anyway) then the service light cannot be reset for obvious reasons .................. somebody with a CLIP or Renault speaking scanner must properly program sensible values like 10000km/12 months in the ECU before the reset function can be executed.

Have you confirmed what is currently programmed in the computer ................ and if those 0000/00 numbers are true one needs to ask the question why its that? ............... was a computer replaced and possibly not properly configured?

I would suggest take it back to those guys that supplied the vehicle and have them show you what exactly the pre-programmed distance and time is on the oil wear counter - if they cannot do that then I would start mentioning the guarantee and costs of a trip to Renault to address the issue.

Why "2 separate occasions"?

I am starting to smell a rat here.

Oil considerations are not the only reason for a serice light...............

I would seriously suggest get THEM to have the vehicle submitted to Renault at their own cost for a proper and complete Clip scan and insist on getting a copy of the report of that............... if its a diesel could have dpf issues............. if a petrol could have cat or O2 issues........... and a horde of other things
