Had a new Captur a few months the electric mirrors got stuck folded inwards, turns out the manual override button on the drivers doors was pressed while being valeted, Thank you RAC for telling me over the telephone.

We have 2 different models of the Captur. But I can tell you with a 100% certainty. The power fold mirrors are garbage. Mine did the same as yours. Then I had one only partially open on one side, why the other was fully opened out.

I was told to open the mirrors manually by hand and then start the car and try to operate to mirrors manually with the controller on my drivers side arm rest. It worked for me, but I still have the odd issue when it gets cold. Most likely in need of grease around my motors.
