is there any way i can get round the immobilisor and get a local locksmith to match a key to my barrel or get a full lock set from a scrappers?

only paid 300 quid for it just to get me to work and back as its a bit of a minger, so dont wanna be spending a fortune.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

Do you have any documentation at all for the car as the key number should be there?which would allow a Renault dealer to cut you a new one but it wont be cheap!

It might be worth giving these people a call?

i have no service booklets or anything with it, although do have the V5 obviously.

would the chassis number alone be enough for renault to cut a key? and what would a rough price be?

thanks for the reply.

I would imagine that a key from Renault could set you back as much as £150 by the time the car has been programed to accept it!

I would try and contact an idependent auto lock smith
