excuse me if i have missed this but i have never seen before the cooling fan coming on when you turn the a/c on?

Thought the cooling fan would cut "on" and "off" as demanded by the air conditionoing compressor.

In my experience in my espace the air-con fan normally does come on so its nothing to worry about,

There may be times in the winter Months when in fact it won't come on, if the car senses its below a certain temperature? the fan or even the air-con will not operate,

Re Donalds post above, I believe the ambient temp at or below which the air-con may not switch in is about 8 degrees C.
