Hi All
Espace IV 2004 2.2dci.
ABS light has been coming and going, and now..permanent ON.
I ran diagnostics and got a DF010 error message.
I have 12V on the two top connectors of the big blue multi-connector on the ABS unit front, left behind the bumper.
I also seem to have 4ohm to ground on the two bottom ones.

Is there a way to test the pump motor? Or kick start it?

Thanks

Can you clear the error and then see how it returns? If you clear it, does it appear when you turn on the ignition (during the car's diagnostics) or does it only come on as soon as the car starts rolling?

If it's a diagnostics fault then I would first check that each wheel sensor is sending a signal to the ABS brains. They live down in the dirt and could be corroded/dirty/broken or damaged by anything caught up in the wheels, brakes or suspension.

If the fault only re-appears when the car starts moving, then that's almost certainly a wheel sensor fault or (less likely) the phonic wheel in the bearing has been damaged (if the bearing is on the way out).

Thanks Ralf!

I´ve keept working on this.
The fault came up at soon as cleared.
I checked the 12V and earth and washed the contact points .. no help.

So, I finally contacted my local breaker, got a replacement hydraulic unit from a Laguna.
The fault has now gone, and I can air the brake lines .

I conclude that the DF010 error is a: check ground and 12V... then replace unit..kind of error.
