my air con is cold on the lower fan speeds but as soon as you turn it onto the fastest speed it starts to warm up.does this just mean i need a regass or does it point towards another cause?

Its not uncommon for the air to be a higher temperature on higher fan speeds.

The air is being drawn across the heat exchanger too fast for it to be cooled effectively.

This will be more noticeable in the hotter weather as the air is entering the system at a higher temperature.

If you put the A/C on to re-circulate you probably won't notice such a difference as the air will not be as warm passing over the heat exchanger surfaces
