Hi,

I'm new here, so I hope I've done this right!

I have a laguna II with climate control, (1st car I have with air con). Last summer the air con only worked occasionally, and in the end i took it to a main dealer-stealer who re-gassed it for about £70. It seems to have worked most of the winter for de-misting, though can't be too sure, but it has stopped working completely now. It doen't even make the characteristic noises etc that usually occur when the air con starts.

So far I have checked the fuse by the drivers' door and that is ok. Never having had a car with air con but usually ok with some DIY work (money forcing me to now!), is ther any diagnosis I can carry out? Also how often should a system be re-gassed? VERY reluctant to use the dealer!

Many thanks

thanks

Thanks Donald and Tara. I'll look for local air con specialist. The thought of sitting in a sweaty car this summer isn't 1 to relish..ha!
