A rabbit ran out in front of me this evening, I jammed the Mégane's brakes on, and... the car turned it's own hazard lights on for a few seconds. What a clever feature, I had no idea it had this!

Just to make sure I wasn't imagining things, I did a few other planned emergency stops and yes, it works very well. Could be a real disaster-saving feature on motorways.

Is this a feature fitted to all Renaults? I can remember a really close incident I had on the motorway in the Vel Satis, and it didn't do it.

Oh... and the rabbit was fine, ABS works too :d

Hello,

My Citroen C3 Picasso has this feature and yes I have tried it out. I expect also a lot of other vehicle manufacturers have the same feature. Good idea really.

Harry.

Jam the brakes on at 40, that should give you a definate answer :d
I felt the EBA kick in at the same time, it really was panic braking - I guess I might have hit him if I'd been in the Lag 1 (or at least slid off the road due to the lack of ABS...)
