hi guys
i wonder if you could help me out, i have 52 plate clio 1.2 16v and it is running like a bag of nails!! i have got a fault code of 636, i have replaced the the throttle body, and removed the metal cover and checked the wiring on the ecu plugs all would appear ok, any advice would be welcome

Is it Renault compatible?
Is it a standard EOBD code?

What other checks have you done? For instance is the engine running on all cylinders?

the scanner is a snap on solus pro it isnt a generic EOBD code it is a renault specfic it missfires and idles very poor it then puts alight up on the dash not EML light revs up smooths out and then stops!! happy days

Last time I had a 1.2 Cio displaying those symptoms the PCV valve had failed open and the inlet manifold was full of oil.
That may not be your prblem but it may be worth a looksee if only to rule it out as a possibility.
