This is my first post as I am looking for the best advice possible.

I am looking at the possibility of buying:-

2001 Megane 1.6 16v Dynamique + 2dr Coupe.

According to the advert it has done 66,000 miles

All being well, I am going to be viewing it tomorrow and was hoping someone might be able to let me know what to look for as potential issues.

Any help, advice anyone can give will be much appreciated.

Mk1 or Mk2

Unless it can be proved otherwise a cam belt and water pump change will not be long before its due NOT AT ALL CHEAP, & catastrophic if ignored.

If it's a Mk 2
I'd want to hear the engine started up from stone cold, the first start of the day would be good, listen for a bag of nails that may go away when the engine gets warm in which case the dephaser pulley could be on the way out, this is not cheap either.
