the heater in my 2004 1.4 renault scenic only works on no's 2,3 can anyone help as to why this is

Hi , most proberbly the rheostat , there is a loom modafication to go with the new stat. This is not an easy job and would advise a very compatant garage , to confurm and fix. The unit will normally die speed 4 first , then 3 as well , then two , and one last. sometimes you cannot hear speed 1 even if it is working , Hope that helps , Rich:d
