We don't need to use the buttons as when you get near to the car it unlocks itself, something to do with proximity, nor do we have to insert the key anywhere.

Yeah that's keyless entry then, just looked on eBay and they are only £19 so not too bad actually, just search "clio keycard keyless"

Just check with a few locksmiths guarantee one will be fine with using an aftermarket key, probably be about £80ish they would charge to do it. Local garage will probably be cheaper seeing as you can still use the car and take it to them.

Renault Clio Initiale. Have been told by an independent locksmith that I can only get my keyless card from a Renault dealership. It is a 3 button card with the distance sensor that opens the door as you approach it.
