[clio dci]

Hi, I have a Renault Clio Dci 80 on an 03 plate, its the expression model.

I have been trying to change to milage display to KPH, I read a few post on here and tried to do some of them on the car but no luck, I tried one where you hold in the trip button and then turn the car on-but not the engine and something odd happened,

Basically there was a beeping and on every 3rd beep all the dials moved around slightly and then back to the start position, the millage readout displayed something like the following
88'88'88.8
888888K
Was i on the right track just not giving it enough time or is this something completely bizarre?

Any help would be gratefully received

The clio has an analogue speedo and shows both mph and kph on the dial.
Or if you're trying to display your mileage in kilometers it has to be done with a diagnostic computer

Cheers for getting back to me so quickly, thought it may be something like that do you know why it is that when the trip is held in and then the car turned on that I get the funny readout on the display like above?

Its doing a self diagnostic test. The results are shown at the end of the test

how do i see the results/how long does it take to complete and what does it all mean? sorry for asking thousands of questions im just curious
