Hi, I have a clio 8v which is running on three cylinders, the other cylinder is venting back through the throttle body and popping the air filter cap off, before I take the head off (as I suspect a burnt/dropped valve) I want to static check the timing, without removiong all the belts and covers. Got the cam sprocket timing mark, are there anyways of checking crank without removing pulleys?. Pistons on 1& 4 appear to be at top of stroke (screwdriver down bore and turn)

Any ideas or thoughts on this?

Why do you want to check the valve timing? If it was out of sync., it would affect all cylinders.
Have you checked the valve clearances and done a wet and then a dry compression test?
