My clio was fine yesterday, i went to start it today and it sounded like it was going to start but by the time i had taken my hand away from the key it died, its dont the 3 times and now it is just trying to start but not firing??

I called the breakdown company out who cleverly told me after touching different parts it was an ignition problem!! And would need to go to thier garage. I dont like their garaga as last time i used them they charge me £100 and never sorted the issue i had to then spend another £100 at my normal place to get it fixed!

Anyone have any ideas? else i will arrange for it to go to the garge on monday and hope it doesn't cost too much.

Ta:eek:

hi:) it sounds like another tdc sensor fault this is very common accross the renault range, so this would be the best place to start. it can be cleaned so try this before hand.

good luck and let us know the outcome alex:)

Hi Bex and welcome ....

Can you put the details of your car in your profile or in your post .... makes it easier to get help ... rather than guessing ...

Model - Clio1/2/3
Engine - 1.2,1.4,1.5 dCi, 1.6 etc
Phase - 1/2/3
Year -
Trim - RL, RN, RT, RXE, Alize, Expression, Dynamique etc.

Have you checked the Clio FAQ ... its a good place to start.

Hope it helps :)
