hi there

first time using a forum, wondered if anybody could help!

bought a clio the other day 1.4 16v (2001) last night it would cut out nearly instantly when starting, the needle on the dash just dropped, it did start but had to keep the revs higher.

once the car was warmer it was fine, but whilst the car was warming up the needle on the rev counter was bouncing, and the car stalled a couple of times.

any help to point me in the right direction would be great!

thanks

chris

A faulty engine coolant sensor could cause such problems. If faulty the ECU may think the engine is always warm and desn't adjust the fueling for cold running.:)
