Hi all, this is my first thread..

First of all sorry for my bad English since this is not my home language.

I have this problem since I bought my car. My car is Clio II, 2003 reg, 1.4 16v 5d.

Every morning I warms up my car. The rev is above 500rpm. and after about 5 minutes (after the engine warm enough I think), it will go to 500 rpm.

The problem only occur only when engine's warming up: when the engine still run above 500rpm, I press the throttle slightly, the rev will go to 500rpm then jump to 1000rpm, and bouncing back again and again until I release the throttle.
but if i press throttle a little deeper until 2000rpm, the rev is stable.
So when I am in a hurry, I can not instantly start my engine and go. I have to wait until the engine's rev stable in 500rpm.

How can I solve this problem?

Change the engine coolant temperature sender and I think it will fix your problem

my temperature indicator gauge seems like normal. never overheat too.

Is "coolant temperature sender" the same item with "coolant temperature sensor"?
