I have just recently replaced seat airbag, seat pretensioner after a little bump which made both parts activate. Does anyone know why the airbag light is still on? Do I have to get the system cleared by a mechanic with his computer or does the airbag ecu unit need resetting or both? I have also replaced nsr seat belt as well. Any info on this would be great.

I am not 100% on this but think you may need to take it to a Renault dealer or someone with the right software, search the net I think I have seen adds for resetting it.

Posssible simple remedy : check if plug underneath either driver seat or front passenger seat has been disconnected. Be sure to disconnect battery negative and wait 20 minutes for system to discharge before attempting any repair. Sometimes spraying plug contacts solves the problem.
