Hola Todos,
Thought I might share this but I'm sure everyone's aware about the importance of changing cam belt at the specified mileage, 60,000? My daughters' Clio 1998/9 is a great li'l motor, but we were in the dark  about changing the belt, of course it happened. She's back on the road now 300 quid lighter:steam:
All the best

Most Renault cambelts are changed at 72,000 miles or 5 years, which ever comes first. It is important to remember that age effects a cambelt and not just the amount of miles the car has done. The belt construction begins to break up over time, and it doesn't matter how much work the belt has done, this makes it succeptable to failure.

Sorry to hear about your problems,Malcie1,but it's good to know your all sorted now.:)
