I recently replaced the battery on my key fob for the central locking as it didnt always work but since i did that the central locking hasnt worked i tried the advice on here about holding down the button inside etc but it didnt solve the problem so i just accepted it.

However my drivers door now wont lock from the outside so i have to get out go around to the passenger side and lock it with the central locking button inside which is getting to be a pain in the backside. When i try locking it outside with the key it feels like something has slipped cus theres no resistance at all, does anyone know what to do or what it would cost to fix?

thanks lisa

Hi Lisa it sounds like the rod from the lock barrel to the locking motor has come adrift. You would need to remove the inside door card, and the plastic sheeting under it to gain access to the lock. When this happened to mine I was then able to hook the metal rod back into place on the lock barrel.
