Hi all.
Was just wondering what can be done to make my 1.6 clio faster.

i already have a performace induction kit. But nothing else performance wise.

Have been concidering a remap. But gaining about 8bhp for £220 odd seems a bit steep.

Anyone know of parts that could help?

Sadly there are no cheapo bolt on parts that are likely to give you any significant power gains.
Fitting a sports exhaust manifold and sports exhaust may give you some gains but not for less than what a remap would cost.

On top of that there is also the possible extra insurance premiums once you start modding or remapping.

Modding modern engines is not cheap. One of the cheapest way of improving any cars performance is to reduce its weight so the fewer add-ons fitted the better. I know of a couple of guys who have actually gone back to using steel wheels because in some cases they weigh less than similar alloys.
