Hi all,
Was attempting to replace a glowplug the other day and sheared the plug off at the top, just below the nut section but protruding out of the head.
We've determined the best way to get it free is weld some stainless nuts to the top, the body is stainless (TIG as it's stainless).
Basically if this isn't successful then the extra material we've added to body of the plug will make it easier if we have to resort to easy thread stud extractors, the body is quite thin and we're concerned about it splitting.
The question is do we need to disconnect any ECU's etc before welding?
Basically want to avoid taking the head off if possible or blowing anything expensive up in the process!
