Funny you should mention this, because I did today at the garage, had two MOT testers there,.. Both said the same, Front fog lights are not a testable item on the mot...
So then I asked the question, is it illegal to fit the fog lights to work with the main beam, and this was their reply, and I kid you not ..:idunno:
(Bearing in mind, one has been a tester for over 10 years, one 7)....
Do you mean main beam or dipped headlights Stu? Main beam might not be a problem as they're only on momentarily due to dazzling others.
Dipped however I'd think is a no no as fog lights aren't aimed to the left and can easily dazzle other drivers. In fact my sister was ticketed by a policeman years ago for the same thing, she being most indignant as she thought it looked cool.
