Hi All,

I hope someone can help - my wifes car a little W Reg Clio 1.6 auto cuts out at random times when stationary.

It will start fine and drives ok but occasionally when stationary it will cut out and then it will start straight up again or will need to be turned over a couple of times before it starts again and then it is fine.

Recently I have replaced the coil packs as one died but that didn't fix the issue. I have had a look on the net and seen it could be the ICV (idle control valve) but wondered before I go replacing that if anyone has any other suggestions.

Thanks

Kev

I think you're on the right lines with your ICV/ISV, and maybe a dirty throttle body

Erm.......... not a clue!
Look for an oil breather pipe with something with a couple of wires going to it, and it'll be connected to the air inlet / manifold somewhere
