Hi Guys

I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place!

I've tried a forum search and google search of the web and have found nothing helpful so I was just wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction or provide me with either an online guide or a step-by-step tutorial to removing the rear windscreen of a 2003 Renault Clio Billabong.

Has anybody achieved this before? Is it reasonably straight-forward to do and is it problematic to get a water-tight seal when replacing it?
The reason I'm removing it is to apply a tint to my windows - the two rear/side windows seem simple enough to but the rear windscreen is awkward to get to and has a complex curvature on the glass.

Any help would be greatly appreciate guys and may I congratulate you all on a cracking forum and amazing intuitive resource for all Renault owners! :)

Cheers

Hi Duff - as far as I know the front and rear screens are bonded onto the vehicle and without specialist adhesives you would probably have difficulty getting it resealed - believe it or not bonded windows in modern cars act as a part of the overall body strength so any changes you make may affect your insurance - I suggest you contact a windsreen repair service for further advice.:)

Thanks for the replies Guys - they've helped out alot!
Looks like I'm going to have to try another method to tint my rear windscreen - windscreen removal now seems like a long and expensive process so I'm in the process of checking out what other options are available!
Anyway thanks again for all the support guys, I'll keep you posted on my sucess when I manage to get it done!
Cheers
