Hello all,
I have just joined the forum it has helped me alot in the past, but I can't find the answer this time so if anyone could shed light on how to adjust the tappets on a 2001 clio rsi 167. I have read postings that describe exactly how the car is running and it all points to tight tappets.
Your help would be appreciated thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I'm guessing your Clio has the 1.6 16 valve engine in it,and in that case the tappets are hydraulic and cannot be adjusted.

What exactly is the car doing?.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes it is 1.6 16v, the car is running very lumpy and has no power and when you lift the hood you can hear a loud intake of air between the bulkhead and engine when you move the throttle, I have tried spraying WD40 but engine idle stays the same also the engine management flashes but only when going uphill.
