Hey all,

Along with my other knocks and rattles, I have developed a new one.

It's a slight clunk that happens with every rotation of the rear wheels. Goes away when I apply the handbrake slightly.

My guess is it's something to do with the handbrake cable mechanism.

I have drum brakes on the rear, with automatic shoe adjusters.

Any thoughts???

Time to remove the rear drums for a close looksee. Could be a delaminating brake shoe - not an unknown problem.

Also check the rear wheel bearings whilst you're at it.

I removed the rear drum and gave everything on the back plate a good lube and also cleaned the shoes and drum with brake cleaner.

Seems ok for now, thanks for the advice.
