I need to do a compression test on the lag II V6, so I was just wondering what precautions I should take.

I have done a couple on the old ford pinto engine's which were easy enough, eg warm engine remove plugs diconnect coil, fuel line etc, but on the V6 L7X I assume this is a little differant, I have to remove the inlet manifold after warming the engine, should I remove the fuel inj relay or disconnect the injectors at their plugs?, are the coils disabled by pulling a relay? with this having a starter button how many times will it crank before it give's up? will it put the engine trouble light on?.

If it's going to be more trouble than it's worth with all this fragile electronic crap on then I won't bother.
