Renault Clio Campus 2006 1.2 petrol:

To fix a starting problem I ordered a replacement Crankshaft Sensor online.
But I noticed on the part when it arrived that the two pin electrical connection socket is pointing the wrong way for the connector on the loom. There is no way they will connect as the stub of hard bound wires which emerges from the loom for this connection is too short.
Any idea why they make them like like this? Obviously I always put in the registration of my vehicle when searching for parts but It's still a bit of a minefield.
I finally found another one the right way round.
The other thing of course is can these sensors be fitted either way round? The gap on the casing which reveals the flywheel, and over which the sensor sits, is quite large, but I didn't want to risk it.

Hi

had similar wit both daughters & partners Clio's (both 2003) , there is a part modification and requires either a wiring conversion part or clip the wires and re solder.
