hi there just a quick note to maybe help anyone wanting to replace their crankshaft sensor on a laguna 2.

Firstly undo the rubber strap holding the front of the air filter hoseon the right hand side of the engine as you look at it, then pull gently the air filter hoe from the air filter assembly, this has a large rubber seal on the end.

then if you look in between the rubber strap and the air filter assemble about 8 inches down behind a couple of rubber pipes you will see a cross shaped device with 3 pin plug going into the top right side.

This plug will be either black or blue black is the original and blue is a modified one, but if you have the blue one you cant go back to the black one.

Once you have the new relevent crankshaft sensor you will need to disconnect the battery and go ahead and remove the sensor by disconnecting the plug on the sensor and removing the two 10 mm bolts holding the sensor in place, then pull out the sensor.

Then just reverse the process to fit the sensor and reposition the hose and battery, then your all done and you can enjoy your laguna again.

What are the symptoms of a dodgy crankshaft (flywheel) sensor on a dci engine? Does it jut not start or does it run rough?

Where does the other end of the wire go so I can check the connection?
