hi all,I have a 2001 laguna that has been cutting out while driving without warning and sometimes from parked,all electrics seem to work and car starts straight away once stopped?,could it still be battery which is only 1 yr old,does not feel like fuel problem as once starts idles and drives nice,any help plse

When does it cut out - just randomly, whilst accelerating, or only when the engine is running under load at low revs with the clutch dipped (e.g. low speed steering, braking to a halt, aircon kicking in?)

hi all,
battery checked and is fine? cambelt looks in bad shape and i will change asap,would this cause the cutting off above ?

Not sure about the cambelt causing the cutting out problem but if it looks in bad shape my recommendation would be don't use it until it has been changed.

Could be a very expensive mistake to make.
