hi,can any one help me please,i have my megane stripped down ready to fit a new cv boot,the old 1 has split,i cant work out how the new 1 goes on there though,does the complete cv joint have to come off ?,if so how do i do this,many thanks for reading this and hope someone can help soon

You don't say which side shaft it is. Generally speaking (although not always true) the cv joints are not detachable on renaults. If it's the passenger side you can remove the inner spider and cv seal and slide it on from the inside. I believe Renault use a tool to stretch the boot over the CV (yes really, I've seen it done)

you use stretchy cv boots nowadays and either put on with a cone or an airtool which stretches the boot so it goes over the joint
