Hi Guys,

Which way should the EGR valve go in, the Haynes manual suggests connector facing down, however I've seen pics showing connector facing 20 degree's.

See my illustrations attached....pics drawn as though you are facing the EGR Valve.

Hey there. The egr valve will only go in the one way. It has 3 studs and they are off centred. Typically plug facing down been a while since I done any work on lag egr so can't be 100% on that. But, if the 3 studs line up then its on properly.

Post a picture of your engine with top cover removed ( If fitted) will try and mark it for you
