My wife says that whilst in 5th or 6th gear, the car sometimes jolts forward a bit and the digital display says "ESP ON"
I haven't experienced this myself yet, and cant find anything on here relating to it. Could it be a faulty sensor or loose wire?

Any help or ideas appreciated

What car...some details please.

My initial thought is that it may be the ESP triggering, ie, doing what it should.
Is it happening at same place in her journey?
Or where roads or conditions are bad?
Or tyre condition letting a wheel slip?

On dual carriage way each time its happened. She says it is dangerous. The road is perfect though not pot holes or uneven.

As DD said could be ESP is seeing a real difference in wheel speed. Are the tyres the same age and inflated the same?
Check the temperatures of the wheels themselves after a run. A dragging brake could slow a wheel a bit.

Ah good input could be tyre pressure! They do tend to go down a little to be honest

Thanks for helping I will check them and see if it happens again soon, and if it takes a while to do it again, I will assume it is pressure related.
