Anyone got any ideas that can help where the renault service people can not!!
I have a 2004 espace that went into the dealers at the end of last year after it emptied the oil contents over the motorway, they put this down to an incorrect oil dip stick, the one fitted had blown out and wrapped around the cooling fan allowing the oil to follow.
Since then it has been one continual drip of oil, the latest is a blown inlet manifold seal? and yet more oil all over the place.
Not being a mechanic the only common point is why the engine is building up pressure allowing something to go or blow??
Any suggestions will be well received and past onto Renault to add to ther little magic book of fixes!!
Just to vent a little more the warranty ran out on the car 2 weeks ago and the best i can get from Renault customer services is: Ahh well this would still have meant you paying for the fault to be diagnosed and then we would look into if this was awarranty claim if we found it to be down to a mechanical fault!! You cannot beat a good old it not worth the paper it's written on kind of guarentee!!

Another cause (and please don't take offence at the suggestion) is over-filling the engine with oil. But naturally, this would need to have been done continually (perhaps by someone topping up the oil when the engine is still warm), thus giving a false reading.

Hope you get to the bottom of this.

Paul:)
