Hi everyone,
I bought this car two weeks ago got it home next day refused to start,m8 came over tested it and the fault diagnosed as a crank sensor had that replaced 105 quid later:mad: left it an hour went out to start it no joy turning over not starting:steam: did a basic test of pulling off an H.T lead putting an allen key up the lead earthing it an cranking the starter nothing no spark what so ever:confused: I have no alarm on the car,the key phob opens the doors ok but am not sure if an immobilser is fitted? could someone help please.

Sorry for the delayed response.:eek:

The Renault Immobiliser usually works by cutting the fuel pump,so it's not that causing the fault.Are there any signs that an aftermarket alarm system has ever been fitted?

Also,did the car start when the new TDC sensor was fitted?.It could be that you have a faulty sensor.

still probs

car did start after sensor was fitted still dead tho turning over on bat just wont fire is there an easy way of resetting imobiliser
