I have a 2.2dCi Espace that eats tyres. I only seem to be able to get 13k miles from the front and around 24 from the rear. The car is used mainly for short runs through the week and then longer runs at the weekend. It is currently shod with Continental tyres.
Has anyone any recommendations for tyres that may last longer?

Cheers!

Hi Kastonfly welcome, ... to be honest, in my experience thats about the going rate ... 13-16 for the fronts and 22-27 for the rears.
Dont forget they are very heavy cars ... are you using the correct load index tyres, as that would cause excess wear and poor handling as well.
Also where you stay ... lots of roundabouts etc wont help either.

Try a search on the site ... lots about Espace and tyres, esp the Espace IV, because of the size and lack of choice in replacements, oh and the horrific cost :( .

Hope it helps:)

I do a short 1mile commute and long trips at the weekend and 6 wks around the alps and go thru fronts about every two years.

Although I don't have any back seats in normally.

I normally get the cheapest brand and weekly check the pressure.

I was told that expensive tyres sometimes wear quicker than cheap tyres ?
