Does anyone have any experience of decient european travel/breakdown insurance ...
Western europe, car is still under Renault warranty - 16 day cover.

Long time since I've done this and the insurance world is sure to have moved on, so any tips, hints recommendations etc would be welcomed.

Cheers :)

We took out European cover for ours several times, with the same company. Their name escapes me at the moment, sorry  . I'll try and look it up tomorrow if I get chance.
Cover was very comprehensive and was reasonably priced, a lot cheaper than AA etc.
Luckily never needed to use them so don't know what they would be like in the event of a claim. They did have a Uk 24 hr helpine though. Policy was underwritten by AXA insurance, that much I can remember.

I am with Green Flag as I found them the most comprehensive.
Had to use them a few years ago whilst on holiday in France and they were fantastic.
We got put up in a Chateau whilst the car was being repaired.
