Is the 150 2.2 dCi FAP'd? What's the story with the FAP, heard it needs "special treatment"...

Cheers!

Just checked the FAQ. Since it seems to be for euro iv and the 150 2.2 is only euro iii I guess it doesn't apply?

Yep - correct. the 2.2dci is not FAP.

The 1.9dci 130 bhp is a FAP engine. Only special treatment required is that you give the car a decent run to get engine up to temp and burn off the soot in the FAP. A lot of short stop start journeys and the FAP filter light will come on a lot - if you don't do a decent journey the car will have to have a "forced regeneration" by a dealer. Too many of these + [email protected] catalyst.

Low annual mileag doesn't necessarily mean a problem, if the journeys you do do are decent ones. Our Megane cc is 10mths old ,only done 5k ( its our second car,not main commuter) but nearly all journeys are decent 15 mile+ runs on A roads at 60mph.
