After posting the below in blue, I feel I should update this now.
800 miles from the first service (18000 miles)
I have approached both Renault dealers in my area for a price on this first service the the price from both is very similar £247.00ish.

But interestingly both of these dealers who were insisting on using semi synthetic oils in December last year, are both now saying fully synthetic oils Wow what a change of mind, I wonder why.

JC! what a change in price £68.00 too is that really the difference in price of fully Synthetic and Semi Synthetic?

This isnt the case; in the last month (31/12/05 now) Ive asked two different Renault dealers what oil they use now at service oil changes in Laguna turbo engines, both of them say they use semi synthetic oil.
price of service £179.00 Inclusive of Vat
I enquired about them using fully synthetic, the one dealer said if I wanted to use this type of oil I'd have to bring it in myself.

Anyone else know different?
