I fitted some white LED sidelights to my Laguna 2 to match the colour of the Xenons and they look smart. However the car tells me there is a sidelight fault now and the annoying service amber message is constantly on. Anyone tell me why this is? Is it due to the lower voltage/power the LED draws? Is there anyway around this?

Yep, thats exactly what it is. You can get LED's with a built in chip to get over this

Do u know what the LEDS would be called woth the chip in to fit the sidelights? That thread covers the festoon type bulb thanks

Thats the ones,to replace 501 type bulbs on cars with a bulb checker.

Jus fit a 1k reaistor between the wires and this will cix ya problem
