Hi, does anyone know if you can fit a secondhand/as newish panel into a Espace (w) and does it have to be reset or calibrated by a renault dealer/ expert? You cant just take the old one out and the pop the newer one in! can you?,

Thanks...............

I would have thought if the connectors on the back are the same it would be OK.Shouldnt need calibrating either BUT the milage is stored in the clocks so that will definatly be different to yours.I would make sure to get receipts for future proof of milage

Are you getting it from a breaker? Can you plug it all up before you buy?

You can also get the mileage 'corrected' if you need to.There are specialist companys who will come to you and carry out the procedure in a few minutes.

It's not illegal,as long as you have the mileage set to the same as was on the old clocks.:)

Hi the clocks on the espace have ser No on the back and if the clock you buy will have to match the clock you remove and if not they will not work with the ecu there was a member recently had this problem so make sure you get or have the right type all the best Donald.

Sorry this will only apply if it the electric type in the center of the dash

Ok thanks for those replys, the model is renault alize manual 16v espace 1998cc from year 2000 and a W plate! And the panel is the centre digital display panel.

I have had an offer of a newish panel that was not used? but has been set to the owners milage which is higher than mine! so I do want it ajusted back to mine.

I dont know the ecu match number yet but will try to find out... Can I find out my number from anywhere else other than removing my panel?

Thanks and thanks again:confused:
