Which Wanchor suggested that the Mileage & Vin Would Change?
Direct Swap, AS LONG AS EXACTLY same Part Number.

any tips on how to remove abs pump, can it be done with just removing front scuttle where I can see down back of engine and abs pump or is it worth trying to lower the engine on cam belt side to gain more room. any tips would be great, cheers (bad man) mostyn3 lol

Not sure, but , you dont want brake fluid everywhere..
This is how I change any part on the braking system, on any car.
Undo a pipe, in your case, one at the top of the ABS pump. now hold the brake pedal down with a bar of some type, and pull the seat forward to hold the bar in place..

A MUST on any braking system, :wink2::wink2:

..
Now make sure all other brake pipes can be undone. Just loosen them at this point, because once the ABS pump is lose, you will struggle to crack the pipes, and hold the ABS pump firmly..
Now undo the abs pump from the body, once the nuts/bolts holding the abs pump have been undone, making sure each nut/bolt will come out ok, If rusted in.
Remove brake pipes, remove pump, fit donor pump, Fit all brake pipes, but leave the top slightly lose at this point, Now remove the object you used to hold the pedal down with..
LEAVE it alone, Pedal I mean here, dont get tempted to press it
Go top the reservoir up, see if fluid comes out of the pipes at the top of the abs pump , as you top up, if not slowly press the pedal, just a few slow presses, should now see fluid come out of the abs pump..
Tighten all pipes, and try the brakes with ENGINE off .
If not a full pedal, undo 1 of the pipes on the top of the abs pump, press the pedal down a couple of more times slowly, now fasten the pipe up.. domt worry about holding the brake pedal down, when you go to fasten the pipe up, air cannot get in, as fluid will keep it out..

Press the pedal hard and hold it ,If pedal feels the same as when you started, and does not drop start the car, and try the pedal then, should be the same as before you started, or better..

Sorry been a way awhile but had 2 attempts at changing the abs unit and could not do it so now it's in to the garage. Could not get enough clearance to get in and undo all the pipes even tried and drop one side of engine and still not enough room to undo. Will let you know what garage charges and how long to fit. Been told needs a ramp and to lower engine right down. What a pig. Anyway booked in next Wednesday let you know how I get on. Cheers for now.
