hi i have a renault megane 1.9Dti 2001
my brakes started to feel a little bit funny cant describe just dont feel wright
took wheels off to check pads/discs all ok but noticed the wear mark (shiny bit) on the discs is only half what the pad covers edge of disc in
any ideas why and how to fix so pads grip

If the pad is not fully making contact with the disc then it's usually because either a caliper slider is seized or the pads are partially seized in their carrier.You need to remove the caliper and see exactly what is going on.
