Hi, I have a 2003 Kangoo van 1.5 DCI 70. Apart from the clutch being heavy/stiff which seems to be a common thing there is a clunking sound when changing gear 1st to 2nd. Sometime I can depress the clutch quickly and it doesn't happen but not always. I've searched the net and found nothing perhaps one of the experts on here can tell me if it is anything to worry about.

Have you checked the rear engine mount (also referred to as the dog-bone) - quite a common failure on Renaults I'm afraid. It may also do no harm to check the engine top mount.

Same as above check the engine mounts and possibley check the suspenion for play.
