I am having a problem with the gears on my Clio (1.5DCI). Gear changes are not smooth and feel jerky. There's also a weird groaning sound which occurs between certain gear changes, i.e. between 3rd and 4th. The car also suffers from an occasional squeak when reversing but I am not sure if this is related. The car recently had 4 new tyres fitted and brake calipers too. The garage told me that the cam belt would need changing at the next service so I am not sure whether this is the cause of the problem or not....Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am reluctant to take it back to the garage so soon as I am scared of getting another huge bill!!
