Hi i just had a quick question, might be a daft one but i was wondering would you need to inform the insurance company if you stick on new genuines renault alloys such as clio sport ones, as they are not standard on your model or not?

same goes with tail lights aswell...

is it classed as a mod?

cheers

Inform them - they are not standard fit to your model.
It may not make any diference to your premium or may add on a few pounds. MOney well spent, if, you ever need to claim. They will only replace your wheels with standard ones, not nice alloys - if indeed they pay up.

It always pays to inform your insurance company, no matter how small the change. Kowing how they will wriggle and squirm to get out of paying up, they will only need the slightest excuse.

We had to inform our Insurers exactly what was included in the Luxury pack for our Megane - it didn't alter the premium ( as I got another online quote from the same people without the luxury pack) but they wanted the exact details.
