My 2002 1.2 16v clio is acting a bit odd at the moment, it idles a bit funny with a puff every few seconds and cuts out if revs are not kept above 1000rpm, and there is a light on the dashboard which looks like the glow plug light in a diesel but this car is petrol.
Im not sure what the problem is and i don't have a book with the car, there is also a light saying 'SERV' and one for the airbag staying on.

What would solve these problems, i would consider buying a fault code reader but don't know what one is best for renault, is there a renault specific one.

Check your coils in your engine for signs of burning. The airbag/serv light will most probably be related to a loose block connection underneath usually the passenger seat.

No that sounds like your auxiliary fusebox. The coils are actually plugged into your engine. There's 4 of them. You may need to remove a screw for each one.
