Hi all.

Im a newbie here so please be good to me.
we just bought a renault grand scenic 05 plate

I have just found out that the air con does not work.took it to garage,who did a nitrogen test to find a leak.they have traced the leak to a high pressure pipe,apparently requires pipe,dryer and seal kits.been quoted over £500 all in to have this done.im gutted..just wondered if anyone new if this was considered cheap,and if anyone can suggest a cheaper garage to fix this in the kent area.we are in Tonbridge area...need to get it done,but begrudge paying that price...

Sorry I can't help with recommending a garage as I'm in Northern Ireland. It may be worth checking if there are any air-con servicing or repair agents in your locality.

Hi yes thankyou for your reply,it was of much help.reading that link,made me think I was being conned way over the odds.I have now contacted a renault dealer.explained to her.she seems think the same,so maybe they will give me a better price..although they want £108 just for looking,told her know the fault,just want it repaired.fingers crossed,what they come back with...
